Pseudonymous articles by E. Armand
Pseudonyms and unsigned articles naturally haunt bibliographers. Both are common in anarchist publications and there is often no way to clearly establish authorship. But they should also haunt historians and students of the movements involved, as the reasons for established writers to publish anonymous or pseudonymous articles are often significant. When discovered, of course, pseudonyms are often like secret passageways opening onto unexpected treasures—discoveries particularly sweetened by the feeling of catching familiar figures in a moment of misdirection.
